I looked at Jillian with an indifferent expression.
“Congratulations, Jillian. Your new rival is here,” I said.
A few drops of sulfuric acid splashed out of the bottle from how badly Jillian’s hand was shaking.
White smoke rose from her sleeve, accompanied by a chilling, sizzling sound.
However, Jillian seemed to be completely oblivious to the pain. Her eyes were wide as she stared at me in disbelief.
“A new mother? A new rival? Stop spouting nonsense, Sienna! That’s not Daddy’s voice. My ears must be playing tricks on me.”
I immediately backed into a corner. My lips curved up into a sneer before I said, “You’re so pitiful, Jillian. Why do you think your father wanted to divorce me so quickly? Are you brave enough to open the door
and welcome your father home?”
Jillian’s eyes flashed.
I was surprised that she was actually hesitating.
Just then, Kelvin opened the door. He was all smiles as he stepped across the threshold, holding hands
with a young, beautiful woman.
“Didn’t I tell you to wait for me at home, Jillian? Why didn’t you say a thing even after hearing my voice?”
Kelvin looked as if he had seen a ghost when he noticed that I was also present. He frowned and asked, What are you doing here, Sienna?”
I spread my arms helplessly and said, “I don’t want to be here either. Why don’t you ask your daughter why I’m here?”
Only then did Kelvin notice Jillian.
There was a nerve pulsing on her forehead, and her eyes were bloodshot. Her entire body was trembling
violently like a leaf being buffeted by the wind.
“Who is that woman, Daddy? Why are you holding her hand? Tell me that she’s just your friend. Hurry and tell me that she’s not my new mother. I don’t have a mother anymore since Sienna left. It’s only supposed to be you and me from now on…”
No matter how fiercely Jillian tried to deny the truth, Kelvin’s mistress, Maisie Ferrera, continued to cling to his arm affectionately. “Is this your daughter, honey?” she asked coquettishly. “She’s so pretty She looks just like you.”
Jillian completely lost it upon hearing Maisie’s words. She gripped the bottle of sulfuric acid tightly and

“Who are you? Did Sienna send you to seduce Daddy? I don’t want a new mother, Daddy! Tell her to get
lost!”
The sulfuric acid sloshed around wildly in the bottle.
Jillian was teetering on the edge of a meltdown.
Meanwhile, Kelvin seemed to have predicted that Jillian would react poorly to the news. He almost
seemed proud when he turned to look at Maisie to gloat. “See? I told you that I’m a good father. I have a
great relationship with my daughter.
“Don’t worry. I’m sure that Jillian will warm up to you soon once the two of you spend some time together.
He patted Jillian’s head as he always did and said patiently, “You’ve always hated Sienna, right? I knew
how you felt, which was why I started planning to give you a new mother a long time ago.
“I’m sure that you can feel my love for you. Everything that I do is for your sake. I’m sure that you understand where I’m coming from, right?”
I was shocked by Kelvin’s audacity.
He truly was a good-for-nothing bastard. He even managed to come up with a way to paint his infidelity
in a good light.
Jillian was momentarily stunned before she quickly accepted Kelvin’s explanation. “I know that you love
me the most, Daddy…”
She sniffled before aiming a hateful glare at Maisie. “But I don’t like her and don’t want her to be my new mother. Can you please tell her to leave…”
A stern look crossed Kelvin’s face.
“You’re my beloved daughter, so shouldn’t you share the same thoughts as me? I love your new mother very much, so you should learn to love her too just like me. Do you understand?”
Tears streamed down Jillian’s face.
Maisie stepped forward and pretended to comfort Jillian when she realized how upset the latter was.
“It’s okay, Jillian. There’s no need to cry. Why don’t I take you out? I’ll treat you to steak. Don’t worry. In

Jillian nodded while sobbing.
