When I Dreamed of the Alpha Again Chapter 09

When I Dreamed of the Alpha Again Chapter 09

On Monday, the moment I stepped into the history classroom, Nick leaned in mysteriously.

“Allie, have you heard? Tiffany Caldwell from the Newmoon Pack… was sexually assaulted by her

stepbrother?”

My chest tightened violently.

I grabbed his arm. “How do you know that?”

Nick flinched.

“Everyone’s talking about it… it’s all over the place. Some bold students even went to Tiffany’s

classroom and asked her directly…”

Before he could finish, I had already rushed out of the classroom.

On the way, I collided with Nathan.

“Allie, it was you, wasn’t it?”

Nathan grabbed my wrist, furious and barely rational.

“You still resent me? You resent everything that happened? Those three years?”

I yanked my hand free.

“Get lost!”

I was originally heading to Tiffany’s classroom, but then I remembered the rooftop where she once

jumped.

I turned sharply and ran toward it instead.

And just as expected-Tiffany was there, standing on the edge of the rooftop, swaying dangerously.

Hearing my footsteps, she turned around.

Her eyes were full of despair and collapse.

“Allie… are you happy seeing me like this?”

I forced myself to stay calm.

I was the first one to arrive. Tiffany wouldn’t be stupid enough to immediately accuse me now.

“Were you waiting for everyone to come,” I said coldly, “so you could tell them I killed you? Leave that note again so Nathan would think I was the one who spread your secret?”

Tiffany’s face went pale.

I continued.

“Tiffany… what exactly did I do to deserve being blamed for all of this?”

“And what did I do to deserve being treated like this?”

Tiffany broke down completely.

She screamed.

I looked at her, my eyes burning red, my whole body trembling.

“You’re the one who’s wrong!”

“You were wrong to know Nathan’s mother hated you, and still decide he was your salvation! You forced your way into his life!”

“You were wrong to know I didn’t spread your secret, yet still try to ruin both Nathan’s and my life just to get revenge on his mother!”

“You let the real culprit go-and instead tried to make innocent people pay the price!”

“If you knew Nathan would end up broken, if you knew I would be forced to my death, while his mother and your stepbrother walked free… would you still be satisfied?”

Tiffany froze.

After a long silence, she finally spoke.

“Yes. I deliberately approached you both.”

“Even when you collapsed in chemistry class-it was me. I put drugs in your water.”

“I wanted Nathan.”

“He’s the future Alpha of another pack. He could take me away from that disgusting place, that suffocating home. With him, I wouldn’t have to worry about my studies or my life anymore. I

wouldn’t have to go back there. I could become a respected Luna.”

“If I approached him directly, he would only think I had bad intentions. So I had to start with you.”

“I built myself into a resilient, independent she-wolf. I bought potions from a witch to make him believe I was his fated mate. I made him feel sorry for me… slowly shifting his attention from you to me. After all, you had so much more than I did, didn’t you?”

“But his mother told me-Nathan’s future Luna must come from a decent family, obedient and proper. Someone like me would never be allowed into her pack.”

“She investigated everything about me. She told me to leave Nathan on my own.”

“I thought I would make it to the end… but I didn’t expect her to really try to push me to my death.”

Running here earlier, fragments of my reborn life flashed through my mind.

I had missed something crucial.

The black Jeep.

The person inside it wasn’t Nathan.

Only Luna Naomi would use that car.

Luna Naomi had already met Tiffany.

With her influence, there was nothing she couldn’t investigate. Her control over Nathan had always been absolute. From childhood onward, no one-not even me was allowed too close to him.

If she had interfered with Tiffany…

Then everything made sense.

Tiffany’s real target was Luna Naomi.

She wanted Nathan to live with guilt forever.

She wanted me-the “clean, suitable future Luna chosen by Luna Naomi”-to carry the label of murderer and suffer public condemnation for life.

I looked straight at Tiffany.

“What you should do now,” I said quietly, “is report everything to the Alpha King.”

“Whether it’s Nathan’s mother… or your stepbrother.”

“If your death doesn’t bring the real criminals to justice, then it means nothing.”

“After all… I really did once consider you a friend.”

“And Nathan… he truly treated you well before.”

Tiffany’s body trembled.

Then slowly… she stepped down from the rooftop.

Nathan had already arrived at some point. He stood by the rooftop door, silent, trembling slightly

He had heard everything.

“Allie…”

From opposite sides, Nathan and Tiffany both spoke at the same time.

“…I’m sorry.”

I turned toward the exit and looked at them calmly.

“The Allie you’re apologizing to… is already dead.”

The Allie from my previous life died the moment she jumped.

I was no longer her-and I would never forgive anyone on her behalf again.

As I brushed past Nathan, I let out a low laugh.

“How pathetic, Nathan. So Tiffany never truly loved herself… and she never loved you either. She was never your fated mate.”

“The only person who truly loved you, Allie… you already forced to her death.”

Later, Luna Naomi and Tiffany’s stepbrother, Nate, were arrested. Nate received his punishment. Luna Naomi was imprisoned in the werewolf prison for coercion and violation of privacy.

Tiffany offended her stepfather. Her mother cut ties with her. She left the Newmoon Pack and disappeared from my life entirely.

Only Nathan remained.

Like a hollow shell of atonement… following me like a shadow.
