When I Dreamed of the Alpha Again Chapter 07

The sudden appearance of this man made my heart race with excitement.

I stared at the photos. The boy wore a mask, but his eyes were unmistakably dark and haunted.

He followed Tiffany with extreme caution-always keeping his distance, blending into crowds. If I

hadn’t hired a private investigator, I never would have noticed him at all.

And this wasn’t a one-time occurrence. He had been doing this for who knew how long.

If he had been watching her for so long… then it wasn’t impossible that he had discovered Tiffany’s

secret.

Could it be that he loved her and was rejected… and that resentment turned into revenge?

No matter how I looked at it, he was the most suspicious person right now.

After thinking it over, I selected one of the clearer surveillance photos and sent it to Nathan.

“This person is very likely the one who exposed Tiffany’s secret in my previous life.”

But there was no reply.

Was Nathan thinking I was trying to fabricate evidence to clear my “guilt”?

As the timeline of Tiffany’s exposure in my previous life drew closer and closer, I made a decision.

I would find this man myself first.

To justify staying on campus over the weekend, I signed up for a club activity.

According to Tiffany’s routine, this week she should be going to the library.

Wearing a cap, I quietly slipped away from my club group and waited along her usual route.

At 2 p.m., Tiffany and her roommate walked out of the school gate as expected.

I followed at a distance, constantly scanning my surroundings-but I didn’t see the man anywhere.

At the traffic light, just as the green signal was about to end, Tiffany and her friend had already

crossed the street.

I hurried to catch up, but in my rush, I accidentally bumped into someone beside me.

A pair of dark, unsettling eyes suddenly met mine.

I froze.

My pupils contracted sharply.

It was him.

The man I had just collided with seemed to realize something from my expression. In an instant he shoved me hard and turned to run.

I fell to the ground, watching him disappear into the crowd. Ignoring the pain in my body, I scrambled up and chased after him.

He ran fast-extremely fast. I pushed myself harder than ever, refusing to lose sight of him.

I couldn’t let him go.

He might be the one who ruined my entire past life.

Suddenly, he turned into a narrow alley.

Without thinking, I followed him inside.

Only when I saw the dead end did I realize something was wrong-and stopped abruptly.

Behind me, he had already blocked my only way out.

I turned around and faced him, both of us breathing heavily.

“Who are you?” I demanded. “Why are you following Tiffany? Are you trying to hurt her? After following her for so long, do you know some kind of secret about her?”

The supposed “culprit” was right in front of me. My emotions surged beyond control.

I no longer felt fear-only urgency.

“Tell me, or I’ll call the police!”

I pulled out my phone and dialed 911.

Panic flashed across his eyes. He lunged to grab it, but I dodged just in time. Then, in rage, he slammed his fist hard into my back.

Pain shot through me, and I let out a muffled groan.

Before his next blow could land, I quickly raised my arms to protect my head-

Bang!

A sharp grutit echoed in the air, followed by the sound of a violent impact between bodies.

I looked up.

Nathan had appeared out of nowhere.

In just a few moves, he had already taken the man down. Then, barely containing his anger,

snapped at me:

“Allie… are you stupid? Do you have any idea what danger is?”
