My Mafia Husband Married His Mistress Chapter 03
Roman scooped Elara into his arms and ran out, leaving me collapsed on the hardwood floor.
My whole body felt numb.
Too much had happened at once.
By the time the room finally went dark, only one thought remained in my head.
I had to leave.
I packed a small suitcase as fast as I could.
The second I zipped it shut, Roman’s consigliere appeared at the door.
“Ms. Hartley. The Don wants to see you.”
I tried to push past him.
“Tell him it’s over.”
“I don’t think it’s that simple.”
He lifted a hand.
Several soldiers surrounded me and shoved me violently into the backseat of a black sedan.
We sped toward the hospital.
The second the car stopped, Roman yanked me out by the arm, his face dark with rage.
“Sienna! You just couldn’t leave Elara alone, could you?”
“You knew she was expecting, and you still photoshopped her face onto your old explicit photos and leaked them online?”
His voice dripped with disgust.
“How could you be this vicious?”
I stared at the screen in shock.
“I didn’t do that! Check my phone!”
“Then who did? Elara herself? Don’t be ridiculous!”
He grabbed my hair and dragged me toward a hospital room.
“Those men already ruined you, and now you wanna ruin Elara too?”
In the hallway, he pulled out a pair of silver handcuffs, snapped one cuff around my wrist, and locked the other to the bed rail.
The position was identical to the one from years ago when they forced me to pose for those photos.
A phone mounted on a tripod faced directly toward me.
The livestream was already running.
Roman grabbed my jaw and forced my face toward the camera.
“Because of you, Elara’s father’s getting harassed online. She almost hurt herself.”
“You’re going to admit the woman in those photos was you. You did this out of jealousy.”
I clenched my teeth so hard my jaw started aching.
“It wasn’t me. I didn’t do it.”
Roman’s face instantly turned cold.
“Remember those five criminals?”
“They got out of prison.”
My whole body froze solid.
“They’re looking for you, Sienna.”
He leaned closer.
“Confess. Or I’ll personally bring them to you.”
The man who once dragged me out of darkness was now threatening to throw me back into it.
Tears finally slid down my face.
“Once you clear Elara’s name, everything can go back to normal,” he said softly. “I’ll keep taking care of you. I always have.”
Then Roman turned on the livestream completely and walked out.
The chat exploded instantly.
“Is this some kinda roleplay?”
“She fantasizes about sleeping with five guys at once?”
I squeezed my eyes shut so hard they hurt.
But the memories wouldn’t disappear.
My whole body wouldn’t stop trembling.
Suddenly, the door opened.
A pair of high heels stopped in front of me.
“Sienna, you’re seriously pathetic,” Elara said lazily.
She dangled the handcuff key in front of me.
Then let it drop.
Clink.
The key landed too far away for me to reach.
“Oh well.” She smiled. “Guess it doesn’t matter anyway.”
Before I could answer, the door slammed open again.
Ice flooded my veins instantly.
Standing in the doorway were the five Alpha who haunted every nightmare I’d had for the last ten years.
