99 Times He Left Me Mid-Moon for a Fake Omega – The 100th? I Marked His Rival Alpha Chapter 16

Finnian stumbled back to the packhouse like he’d completely lost it, where Morrigan rushed up to him, her face sull covered in bruses

“Jax, is Lupa really dead?”

When he nodded, Morrigan’s eyes lit up-pure joy written all over her face.

“It’s okay, babe. I’m still here for you. Me, you, and Perrin-we’re gonna be so happy together.”

Hearing that, Finnian looked up at this woman who was clearly thrilled I was dead and said coldly:

“We’re breaking the bond.”

That one sentence wiped the smile right off her face. She stared at him, eyes going wide.

“What did you just say? The Shadowhowls already kicked me out-now you’re dumping me too?”

“The only way Lupa might forgive me is if I cut ties with you.”

Finnian grabbed her arm like he was ready to drag her straight to the Council that second.

Morrigan’s mask finally slipped completely. She slapped him hard across the face.

“Lupa’s DEAD! You killed her! You think she’s gonna forgive you? She’ll probably spend her next life running as far from you as she can!”

Finnian’s eyes turned vicious as he looked at this unhinged woman, and he lunged at her.

They went at each other like feral rogues, clawing and hitting-zero mercy. Nothing left of whatever they used to have.

Finnian finally saw Morrigan for what she really was. Way too late.

“If you don’t agree to break the bond, my pack will destroy you.”

Morrigan clenched her jaw. Without the Shadowhowl name backing her, the Darkfang Pack could crush her like a bug.

Realizing this, she slipped her sweet act back on.

“Jax, I lost my head for a sec, but I really do love you. If you want Lupa back, I’ll break the bond-but you can’t just abandon me completely. I don’t need a title… I’ll even be your secret lover.”

She dropped to her knees, forcing out a few tears, trying to milk his sympathy.

“We’re going to the Council tomorrow to break this bond. As long as you promise to stay away from me and Perrin forever, I’ll give you enough to live /on.”

Hearing his ice-cold words, Morrigan was seething inside, but she kept playing the obedient mate.

But Finnian seriously underestimated just how twisted she could be.

The next morning, she was gone.

While Finnian had his trackers searching for her, his wrist rune flared up:

“Transfer a hundred thousand gold to this vault, or else…”

The magical image shook, showing Perrin tied up and gagged.

“He’s your kid too!”

Finnian was shaking with rage. He had no idea she was sick enough to kidnap her own son.

“Cut the crap. Five minutes-if I don’t see the coin, you can plan his funeral!”

“That much coin in five minutes is impossible-”

She cut the link before he could finish.

Finnian frantically started moving pack funds while trying to trace her location.

Exactly five minutes later, his rune flared with an image-a bloody severed finger. Small. A pup’s finger.

Pack enforcers surrounded the abandoned den where she was hiding. When they burst in, Morrigan was still counting the coin.

But she was quick-grabbed Perrin as a shield and backed toward the exit.

Just as she reached the door, a silver-tipped arrow tore through her leg. Enforcers swarmed her.

When Perrin got to the healer’s ward, he had two broken ribs, bruises all over, and his right index finger was too damaged to heal.

“Daddy, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have trusted her, and I definitely shouldn’t have hurt Mommy because of her.”

Perrin cried nonstop, guilt eating him alive.

He finally saw Morrigan’s true colors. Cost him a finger and a body full of scars.

Three months later, Finnian brought the pack’s advisor to see Morrigan in the holding cells. She looked like she’d aged twenty years-completely broken.

“Just sign it.”

He slid the bond rejection papers across the table. Morrigan looked up and let out a raspy laugh.

“Still dreaming Lupa’s gonna forgive you?”

Finnian’s face stayed stone cold as he handed her a quill.

“You’re so pathetic, Jax. Lied to Lupa for five years, slept with me who knows how many times-you’re completely tainted, and you’re still trying to play the devoted mate?”

Finnian shot to his feet, jaw clenched, glaring at her.

“Bet you don’t know this-that hunting accident that made you lose your memory? I caused it.”

Those words hit him like a silver blade to the chest.
