Reborn Mafia Queen: Ruining My Toxic Family Chapter 03

Author: Liora Z
I sank into the priceless Italian-made bed and sighed in comfort.

But this wasn’t enough.

Compared to the death and pain they gave me in my past life, this was just getting started.

I would make them watch as their precious Fiona was exposed for the snake she was.

And I would make them watch as me, the daughter they threw away, rose so high they couldn’t even see me anymore.

The next morning, the doorbell woke me up.

Through the video intercom, I saw my second brother, Marco.

How the hell did he find me?

Oh, right. Marco was the Moretti family’s head of intelligence. Tracking my phone would be child’s play for him.

I took my sweet time getting ready before opening the door.

Marco stood there, fuming. But when he saw the lavish apartment and the heavy security, his anger turned to suspicion.

“You’re renting this? Where did you get the money?”

He frowned, his eyes full of doubt.

“Victoria, don’t tell me you sold family secrets just to spite us. Dad cut you off. How can you afford a place like this?”

I leaned against the doorframe and yawned.

“Morning, brother. Is that bullshit I smell, or did you forget to brush your teeth?”

“You!”

Marco took a deep, angry breath.

“Come back with me. Fiona was terrified last night. She couldn’t sleep. She kept calling your name, saying she was sorry. Dad and Mom are worried. If you just go back and apologize, we can put this behind us.”

“Couldn’t sleep? That’s what a guilty conscience does to you. Serves her right.”

I said with a smile.

“Or you could just send her to a mental hospital. I mean… you guys probably have one lined up already, right?”

In my last life, before they tossed me in the river, they locked me away in a dark asylum, claiming I was “mentally unstable with violent tendencies.” I was tortured there.

Marco’s face changed.

“What the hell are you talking about? What mental hospital? Victoria, are you losing your mind? Fiona is so kind. How could you say that about her?”

“Kind?”

I scoffed.

“Kind enough to steal her sister’s fiancé? Kind enough to wear her sister’s dress? Marco, I’m starting to question your intelligence.”

“That was a misunderstanding! Fiona just…”

“Enough. Save it.”

I cut him off, annoyed.

“You’re only here to drag me back so that two-faced bitch can feel better, right? Let me tell you something. Not happening.”

“Victoria!”

Marco roared and reached for my arm.

“Don’t push your luck! Dad said if I don’t bring you back today, he’ll act like he never had a daughter!”

My eyes went cold.

Before I could move, the system beeped in my head.

【Random Mission Triggered: Give Marco a near-death experience. Reward: 51% controlling stake in the ‘Volpe’ family, New York’s largest crime syndicate.】

【Bonus Skill: Superhuman Strength. Ten-minute time limit. Does the host wish to activate?】

The Volpe family?

They were the emperors of New York’s underworld. The Moretti family was nothing but a bit player compared to them.

My eyes lit up. 【Yes! Activate! Now!】

As Marco’s hand reached for me, I grabbed it, twisted, and flipped him over my shoulder.

With the system’s superhuman strength, even a trained fighter like Marco was no match for me.

He hit the floor with a loud thud, groaning in pain.

He was stunned. “Victoria? You… how could you…”

I didn’t stop. I tied his ankles with a rope and dragged him straight to the balcony.

“Victoria! What are you doing! Are you crazy!”

Marco screamed in terror, struggling helplessly. He was no match for me.

I dragged him onto the balcony. We were on the 38th floor.

I hung him upside down over the railing.

The wind howled around us.

Marco’s face went white. He clung to my pant leg, shaking. “Victoria! I’m your brother! Are you trying to kill me!”

“Brother?”

I patted his blood-flushed cheek. “You really think you’ve earned that title?”

“Go back and tell that pack of hyenas at the Moretti mansion to stop bothering me. Otherwise, next time, I’ll let go.”

“Now, get lost.”

I dropped the rope. Marco crashed onto the balcony floor and scrambled away, running so fast he left one of his shoes behind.

【Mission Complete. Control over a portion of the Volpe family’s casinos, docks, and transport routes has been transferred to your name.】

I watched Marco’s pathetic escape, a cold smile on my face.

This was only the beginning.
