My Mafia Husband Had Nine Mistresses, Then Said He Loved Me Chapter 13

The sea wind was salty and damp, carrying faint moisture as it brushed against Ludovica’s face.

She stood on the deck and watched the pink whale leap from the ocean not far away. A small smile

appeared in her eyes.

Just then, Leonardo came out.

He draped a coat over her shoulders, and at the same time, his strong arm rested across them.

When Ludovica looked at him, he smiled lazily. His arm did not move and stayed exactly where it was.

“It’s been three months. I heard Federico is going insane looking for you. Are you really not planning to go

back to Rome?”

Ludovica removed his hand and took two steps aside to create distance.

Her tone was faint. “Attorney Ricasoli, I don’t think our relationship is close enough for you to put your arm around me. Please pay attention next time.”

Leonardo’s lips curved. “At least I’m your travel companion. I also saved your little life on the plane. Must you reject me so thoroughly?”

Ludovica did not bother arguing and turned her gaze back to the sea.

Leonardo hit a wall but did not care.

He leaned both arms on the railing, staring at her openly.

“Ludovica, you still haven’t answered my question.”

Ludovica glanced at him. “What? Is Federico offering a high reward? Planning to trade me for money?”

Leonardo was speechless. “Of course not. I’m just curious. Can you really let go of six years of feelings just

like that?”

Ludovica finally looked straight at him, her beautiful eyes calm.

“Haven’t you already seen the result? You were the one who handled my divorce, after all. What I’m more

curious about is why Attorney Ricasoli has so much free time that he has followed me for three whole

months.”

Three months ago, she rode in Leonardo’s car to the airport and arrived in Hong Kong after a three-hour flight.

But as soon as she got off the plane, her wound became infected, and she developed a sudden high fever.

When she woke again, she was in a hospital.

The person who had saved her was still Leonardo.

Leonardo said he had come to Hong Kong for work and happened to see her sick, so he sent her to the hospital.

At first, she believed him.

Until after she recovered and booked her next destination, only to run into Leonardo again after landing.

He still explained it as coincidence.

But Ludovica no longer believed him.

There were indeed many coincidences in the world.

But no coincidence could make her meet Leonardo twice within half a month, on the same flights and at the same destinations.

She had once suspected Leonardo was following her under Federico’s orders.

After discovering that was not true, she simply let him follow.

During those three months, she restarted the dream she had when she was young and began traveling the world.

Paris, London, Iceland… she visited every place she had once wanted to go.

No purpose.

No fixed direction.

Just clearing her mind.

Half a month earlier, she had seen cruise information in a magazine and bought a ticket on a whim.

She had not expected to meet Leonardo again the moment she boarded.

And Leonardo’s excuse was even more careless than before.

He said he wanted to relax, and running into her was only an accident.

She had not planned to expose him, but Leonardo insisted on getting close.

Leonardo showed no embarrassment at being seen through. He said calmly, “Perhaps you can think of me as chivalrous. I can’t bear to see you wandering alone. After all, the world isn’t exactly peaceful, is it?”

“Whatever.”

After tossing out that flat answer, Ludovica got up and left the deck.

Leonardo immediately followed. Like a magician, he produced two tickets to the performance hall.

‘There’s an event at the theater on the fifth floor tonight. Ludovica, do me the honor?”

Ludovica was about to refuse when she noticed a flash of nervousness in Leonardo’s eyes and froze.

Nervous?

Why would Leonardo be nervous?

Leonardo sensed her mood, stuffed one ticket into her hand, and turned away quickly.

“It’s settled. Eight tonight. Don’t stand me up.”
