They Put My Pregnant Daughter-In-Law On A Paternity Wheel For Fun Chapter 08

Soraya set the Encrypted Flash Drive down on the center of the betting table.

“We still have this roulette wheel. Let’s keep going.”

She flicked the pointer.

The wheel spun wildly before stopping dead in front of Jorenna.

I smiled faintly.

“Your turn, Ms. Hale.”

Silas imported the files from the flash drive onto the large screen.

Profiles for five separate Shell Holding Entities appeared.

Over three hundred million dollars had flowed into these companies from Veyra Private Estate accounts over the prior six months.

Jorenna was listed as the beneficial owner for every one.

Kael spun sharply toward her.

“These companies belong to you?”

Jorenna regained her composure fast.

“Kian asked me to hold them in nominee capacity.”

“I had no idea where the capital originated.”

Soraya brought up saved chat logs on-screen.

[First payment cleared. Move funds offshore immediately.]

[Once Soraya surrenders her equity, initiate board of directors reshuffle.]

[Erase Veyra Private Estate surveillance, leave zero traces.]

Next came the chat threads planning tonight’s cruel spectacle.

[Revoke her Obsidian Access Medallion permissions.]

[Only keep the cropped garage surveillance screenshots.]

[If she refuses to sign, threaten her with forced amniocentesis.]

Every drop of color drained out of Jorenna’s face.

“That’s impossible!”

“These chat logs are fabricated!”

Vaughan hastily pulled his own phone out of his pocket.

“They are one hundred percent authentic!”

“I never deleted a single conversation.’

“The fake medallion, doctored photos, and this roulette stunt were all Jorenna’s plans!”

Jorenna lunged for his phone, but estate security blocked her path.

Kael grabbed her by the upper arm.

“You told me you only wanted to help me recover my shares.”

“What’s this talk about a board reshuffle?”

Jorenna ripped herself free from his grip.

“What would you do with a chairman’s title without board support behind you?”

Kael looked confused.

“You promised we would get married once I seized power.”

“Marry you?” Jorenna let out a scoffing laugh.

“Your equity is gone, your Family Trust Fund is suspended.”

“What would I gain from marrying you? Your bad temper? Or your inability to conceive naturally?”

Kael slapped her hard across the cheek.

“You vile woman!”

Jorenna held her stinging cheek, dropping all pretense.

“Who pushed his own pregnant wife onto that roulette wheel in the first place?”

“Don’t play the hurt romantic now!”

She twisted around and pointed straight at Kian.

“He masterminded everything!”

“He promised me five percent equity in Voss Global Holdings if the scheme succeeded!”

Kian regarded her with icy contempt.

“You couldn’t even keep Kael under your thumb. You don’t deserve to call me anything.”

Jorenna froze completely, stunned.

I nodded toward Soraya.

“Keep going.”

Soraya spun the roulette wheel again.

This time the pointer locked firmly onto Kian.

Silas pulled up the complete accounting trails.

Across six months, Kian had siphoned twenty-three billion dollars out of Voss Global Holdings, using the estate, project shell companies, and Offshore Custodial Accounts.

Every transaction carried his explicit written authorization.

Kian glanced over the projected data and actually laughed out loud.

“Elara, I was the one holding this whole corporation together while you were overseas sick.’

“This was only standard capital reallocation.”

“Besides, you’ve been on heavy prescription medication impairing your judgment.

Who in this room will validate rulings you make tonight?”

I studied him carefully.

“You seem to know an awful lot about what medications I was prescribed.”

Silas cast the Forensic Toxicology Report onto the main display.

[Ms. Voss’s prescription medications were systematically substituted over many months.]

[Side-effects include drowsiness, muscle weakness, impaired cognitive function.]

Surveillance footage played next.

Lira Marlow, Kian’s secretary, stepped into my private study and swapped out my pills one by one.

I walked over to stand directly before Kian.

“I traveled overseas partly for medical treatment.”

“The other half of my reason was to watch who would rush to seize my power while I was gone.”

Wailing police sirens echoed from outside the estate hall.

Kian threw himself toward the betting table. A bodyguard kicked him hard to the marble floor

before he could reach anything.

As Metro Major Crimes Unit Officers moved to close in, he whirled and pointed a finger straight at

Kael.

“Why am I the only one targeted?”

He signed off on every single one of those fund transfers!”

Kael’s face turned ghost-white.

“I only trusted you to handle the work!”

“Trusted?” Kian unlocked his phone and hit play on an audio file.

Kael’s voice boomed across the entire great hall.

“Once Soraya hands over her equity, Voss Global Holdings belongs to us.

“As for the baby, we can always make another one.”
