Left in a Horror Game, Adopted by the Boss Chapter 10
The administrator tried to activate the real-world protection rules, but Lord Corvus raised a hand and crushed the entire rollback device.
The metal restraints snapped open, and I collapsed into his arms.
He called my name over and over, but I just stared at his face for a long time.
Then I noticed a small orange juice stain on his sleeve, and the scrambled memories came rushing back.
“Daddy.”
The moment I said it, the tension in his shoulders melted.
Boss held me so tight I could barely breathe.
“You’re never leaving my side again.”
“You scared the hell out of Daddy.”
I nodded weakly and reached up to wipe the dampness from the corners of his eyes.
The Main System launched its final judgment based on the livestream evidence.
Mom and Dad had voluntarily transferred a minor player’s exit permission, then illegally recalled her and attempted to erase her memories. Their real-world player status was permanently
revoked.
They had left me in a collapsing test server all those years ago. Now they would take my place as
stranded data.
The system created two separate dungeons on the verge of collapse.
Mom and Dad would lose all their talents and search alone for an exit that would never appear.
Both dungeons were frozen at the exact moment from three years ago.
Every time the portal opened, they would see their family standing outside the exit, but no one
would ever look back.
They would also be waiting for an official server that would never come.
Before Mom was sent away, she knelt on the ground and grabbed the hem of my clothes, crying.
“Nora, Mom really is sorry.”
“Call me Mom one more time. Please?”
I looked down at her. There was no satisfaction in my chest, only exhaustion.
“Mrs. Hart, the exit is about to close.”
She froze, her grip loosening. Then the white light swallowed her whole.
Dad thrashed and screamed about how he’d raised me for ten years.
The system dropped him directly into another test server.
Lily was judged a permanent test player for destroying the core stabilizer, forging data, and
illegally attempting to extract another player’s talent.
She was thrown into the collapsing dungeon she had created, with no more camouflage items left.
Before leaving, she grabbed at Dad desperately, begging her parents to keep protecting her.
Dad shook her off for the first time. Mom still tried to look back.
The white transfer light fell, and the three of them were sent to completely different worlds, never
to see each other again.
After everything was settled, I officially inherited the Ultimate Dungeon.
Boss placed his crown on my head. The monsters filled the hall and shouted “little master” over
and over.
I covered my ears and hid against his chest. For the first time in my life, I had a place that truly
belonged to me.
Years later, I revised the first minor protection rule of the Infinite Loop Game.
[The exit permission of a minor player cannot be transferred.]
(If a guardian voluntarily abandons a minor player, the guardian will automatically take the minor player’s place as a permanent dungeon resident.]
The day the rule went live, no child was ever left alone in a dungeon again.
The Main System sent the latest report.
In a single day, the new rule stopped over seven hundred permission transfers.
When everything was done, I brought a plate of oranges back to the throne.
Boss pretended to be annoyed and pushed the biggest one toward me.
“I told you—you don’t need to serve me.”
I peeled the orange with practiced ease and popped a piece into his mouth.
“All the kids got home safe today. I’m happy.”
He paused, then ruffled my hair.
“Then you can sit here and finish this whole plate with Daddy.”
