Lost Princess of the Original Bloodline Returns Chapter 09

Elara’s POV

The hall was dead silent. Only Luca’s harsh, painful gasps echoed.

The pure silver gun was pressed hard against his forehead.

The deadly heat of the silver made his skin smoke.

But he completely ignored Gabriel’s murderous intent.

His bloodshot eyes looked past the cold barrel and locked onto my face.

“Elara. Tell them this is just an act.” He coughed up a mouthful of black blood. His voice was trembling wildly, but it still held that disgusting arrogance. “You want to punish me. I get it. Are you satisfied now? Come home with

me.”

I stood on the stairs, looking down at him. I felt absolutely nothing.

“You can have the Lord’s ring back.” He crawled forward a half-inch, trailing blood on the floor. “The master bedroom is yours. You will always be the only Lady of the Thorne family. I’ll give it all back to you.”

His tone of a gracious savior sounded completely ridiculous now.

I lifted my heavy black skirts. In my black-diamond heels, I walked steadily down the cold marble stairs.

The guards behind Gabriel respectfully handed me a thick file.

It was sealed with the High Council’s bright red stamp.

I walked up to Luca. I flicked my wrist.

Dozens of pages of classified medical records slapped hard across his pale face.

The sharp edges cut his cheek.

“Open your eyes and look closely.” My voice was ice. “These are the full medical records of the three times I took fatal hunter bullets for you over the last ten years.”

Luca froze. His eyes dropped to the scattered papers. The red ink stung his eyes.

“And here is the report on my severe magic depletion and physical decay. Caused by draining my pure heart-blood to make your healing potions. Because of your selfishness, I became as weak as a newborn who would die in the sun.” I continued without a pause. “And that last one. That’s the final medical report on the ugly silver wound you called disgusting. The one you said made you sick.”

Luca started shaking violently. He looked at me in pure terror. He reached out to grab my dress.

I took a cold step back. I didn’t let him touch me.

“The moment you forced me to take off my daylight ring. The moment you made me hand over the Blood-forged bracelet.” I leaned down and looked straight into his desperate eyes. “That stray dog who loved you enough to throw away her dignity died right then.”

I stood back up. The pureblood aura of the Nightshade family crushed the whole room like an invisible mountain.

“The person standing in front of you now is Elara Nightshade. The only pureblood heir recognized by the North

American High Council.”

The air in the hall seemed to freeze. No one dared to breathe loud.

Suddenly, a sharp, ear-piercing scream broke the silence.

“You liar!”

Mia, slumped on the floor, had totally lost her mind to jealousy.

She charged forward like a lunatic, pointing her shaking finger right at my face.

“Pureblood heir? Bullshit! You are just Luca’s cheap blood bag! You are nothing without him! You pathetic bitch!”

Gabriel didn’t even turn his head.

He just gave a slight, emotionless nod.

Two elite shadow guards appeared next to Mia like ghosts.

One guard coldly chanted a stripping spell. Black shadow magic shot straight into Mia’s mouth.

Mia let out a blood-curdling scream. Her two sharp fangs-the symbol of a vampire’s life-were shattered to dust by the magic.

But that wasn’t enough.

The shadow magic slithered through her body like a poisonous snake. It completely destroyed her fragile newborn magic.

Her pretty face withered right before our eyes. She turned into a dried-up, ugly husk.

She couldn’t even scream anymore. She could only writhe on the floor in agony, making desperate whimpering sounds.

The guard grabbed her by the ankle and dragged her out of the hall.

A long, horrifying trail of blood was left on the red carpet.

Luca watched the newborn he once swore to protect suffer this crushing torture.

He didn’t even blink.

His eyes were glued to the medical reports scattered on the floor.

His knees gave out.

He dropped straight down and fell heavily to his knees in front of me.
