Last Life, I Divorced Him and He Became a Billionaire. This Life, I’m Keeping the Billionaire Chapter 11

Caspian really did become Ada’s godfather.

What’s more, he bought her a gold necklace as a gift.

“Your mommy likes gold. I’m just giving you what she likes.”

I didn’t try to get closer to him on purpose. I just invited him over for home-cooked meals when I had time.

On days Caspian was busy, I did nothing but take care of the baby, rest, and take various courses.

During this time, I heard some updates about Hudson.

Thanks to all the meals I used to bring to the office, a young girl there still sent me secret updates after the

divorce.

She told me Hudson hadn’t gotten back together with Alina. He’d found her a doctor and given her a sum of

money.

How strange. Those two didn’t reconcile like they did in my past life.

Alina was very forward and visited Hudson often.

But Hudson kept turning her down, only seeing her two or three times out of ten.

The girl whispered to me, “You have no idea. Alina acts so entitled. She walks in like she’s the boss’s wife and orders everyone around. The whole office hates her, but no one dares say anything.”

How could this be? Had changing my fate also changed theirs?

Before I could figure it out, I noticed Hudson hanging around my building from time to time.

At first, he’d show up out of nowhere when I took Ada for a walk, saying he wanted to see his daughter.

He’d walk around with the baby again and again, not leaving reluctantly until seven in the evening.

Then Hudson started bringing things to the house: iron supplements, baby formula, and diapers. He even

tried to hire a maid to cook for me, but I sent her away.

I stayed quiet about it all-until one night, Ada spiked a fever.

I was getting ready to take her to the hospital when I stepped onto the balcony and saw Hudson downstairs

again.

His head was down, cigarette butts littered at his feet. He looked lost in thought.

I felt annoyed and wanted nothing more to do with him.

After thinking for a moment, I called Caspian.

Ten minutes later, Caspian hurried over.

He had a bag in his hand. “Good thing I’m back from my business trip in time. These are gifts for you and the

baby.”

He took Ada into his arms at once and pressed his cheek gently to her forehead.

“What’s her temperature?”

99.7 degrees Fahrenheit.”

“Don’t worry. Let’s take her to see a private physician.”

My throat suddenly tightened, and my eyes stung.

This was my first time raising a child, and I loved her more than anything. How could I not worry?

I’d been holding it all in, but once Caspian saw right through me, I could barely keep it together.

Caspian said nothing. He held the baby in one hand and took mine in the other.

“Let’s go to the hospital.”

When we got to the bottom of the building, Hudson was just about to walk over. Then he saw my hand clasped with Caspian’s, and the look in his eyes dimmed.
