Last Life, I Divorced Him and He Became a Billionaire. This Life, I’m Keeping the Billionaire Chapter 04

He explained to me that he was in a bad mood because of family troubles.

I knew the truth. His wife was gravely ill and had only a few days left to live.

After losing his wife, Caspian stayed single for a long time.

Later, pressured constantly by his family, he entered a marriage of convenience and had a child.

I touched my lower abdomen and sighed to myself about how imperfect life could be.

Even someone as wealthy as Caspian found no satisfaction when it came to love.

We walked out of the supermarket side by side.

He pulled out his phone, “I still feel uneasy about bumping into you earlier. Let me add your contact info. Just in case you feel unwell later, I can take you to the hospital.”

I nodded, exchanged contact info with him, and then took a taxi home.

When I got home, Hudson still wasn’t back.

His project was about to launch, and he was working overtime nonstop.

I thought for a moment, made a pot of stew, ordered over a dozen takeout meals, then took a taxi to his

company.

The office was cramped, and everyone was typing furiously.

No one could guess that in a few months, every single person here would become a millionaire.

I set the food down on a table and saw Hudson resting with his head on his desk.

I let the employees share the food, then pushed the door open and went in.

On his desk sat a group photo with Alina.

It wasn’t really a picture of just the two of them-it was a group shot.

But Hudson and I had no photos together at all, and he still put this one on display so prominently. It was

ridiculous.

Hudson lifted his head at the sound.

He froze when he saw me.

Then he followed my gaze to the photo and subtly blocked it with his body. “Honey, what are you doing

here?”

I smiled faintly, “I was worried you’d be tired from working overtime, so I brought food for you and your

colleagues.”

Outside, everyone ate while glancing inside. Their strange looks made it clear they knew something.

I understood perfectly. I had never visited the company before, but Alina had worked here before she got

married.

The way they looked at me was exactly like they were staring at a cuckold.
