Last Life, I Divorced Him and He Became a Billionaire. This Life, I’m Keeping the Billionaire Chapter 01
Five years into our marriage, my husband Hudson Steel confessed he’d cheated on me.
The other woman was his high school first love Alina Walters, and they had done everything together except
have sex.
He told me the truth only because Alina had suddenly married in a flash and moved abroad.
Hudson held my hand and said he would straighten up for good if only I could forgive him.
I said nothing. Soon after, I got pregnant and asked for twenty percent of his company’s shares, saying I didn’t feel secure.
The truth was: I had been reborn.
In my past life, I’d divorced Hudson out of spite. I never imagined he would build a successful business and
become a billionaire later.
He married his so-called true love, drove luxury cars, and lived in a mansion. I, meanwhile, drifted aimlessly, unable to find a decent life, and wasted away until old age.
This time around, I was holding onto this golden opportunity tight.
Love? That didn’t matter anymore.
In this life, there was no way he was getting rich alone.

When I realized I’d been reborn, Hudson was still drowning in heartbreak.

He couldn’t understand why Alina had dumped him again, not when he’d risked everything to be with her,
even if it meant cheating.
I knew the answer, but I wasn’t going to tell him.
When Hudson was on the verge of tears, I stepped forward and pulled him into my arms.
He stiffened up. “Willow.”
“Yeah.”
“I cheated on you.”
“I know.”
“Why aren’t you yelling at me?”
“Because I love you.”
I held him a little tighter, and Hudson finally buried his face against my stomach.
Warmth seeped through my clothes onto my skin, and a faint chill confirmed it at last: God had given me a
second chance.
I was reborn, back to the day Hudson confessed his infidelity.
In my past life, I’d reacted with rage, screaming and shouting at him.
Hudson felt awful inside. He wasn’t a bad person at heart.
Once he saw how utterly disappointed I was, he offered me eight hundred thousand dollars in compensation
and we got divorced.
Eight hundred thousand dollars-every penny he had in his company account.
I was dead set on leaving, took the money, and moved out of Oriavale.
I never realized how foolish I was with money. Before long, I made reckless investments and lost everything.
Hudson, though, pulled through his darkest days, secured Series A funding, and his company went public not long after.
With wealth and confidence, he met Alina again. They cleared up their misunderstandings and got back
together.
Rich and romantic, they joined a dating reality show as a married couple. Their second-chance love was celebrated by millions and hailed as a fairy tale.
As for me, I had no real skills, too proud to settle for anything ordinary yet not good enough for anything better. I never found a man I could truly be happy with. In the end, I died of depression in my fifties.
Now that heaven had given me another life, only a fool would let this golden chance slip away.
I soothed Hudson with soft words and persuaded him to take a shower.
That night, the lights went out.
We lay in bed, wrapped in each other’s arms.
Hudson held me close and mumbled, “Willow, I just realized how good you’ve always been to me.”
His voice cracked slightly, “I know I was wrong. We’ve been together since college. You emptied your savings
to support my business. I shouldn’t have slacked off and chased silly fantasies. I’m sorry.”
I tilted my head up and kissed him, “It’s okay, Hudson. It’s okay. Whatever pain I have to bear is fine as long
as you’re happy.”
That night, we were deeply intimate.
I even cried toward the end. I’d never known Hudson could be so gentle and tender when he truly cared.
The next morning, he pulled himself together.
He made me breakfast and then left for work.
I lay in bed, hand on my belly.
After closing my eyes for a while, I ordered a pile of wellness supplements.
Alina would come back in a year and a half.
When she did, her real reason for leaving wouldn’t stay hidden.
Hudson loved her deeply. Once he learned of her suffering, he’d melt.
Before that, I had to grab far more than I had in my past life to never end up in a desperate situation again.
First, I needed a child to secure my share of the family fortune.
